Look at what Seth did at work today: The other day Seth had hit a snake when mowing the church property and it got away before Seth could get it. But today he was out mowing and came across another snake. After battling the snake while it was climbing a tree, Seth was victorious and he killed and decapitated it. We went after dinner to show the kids; Charlie was really excited and even brought his pop gun to shoot the snake in case it wasn't already dead. Macy wanted nothing to do with picking up a dead snake (as did I), but Charlie didn't hestitate at all at the chance to hold it.

Oh my! A good snake is a dead snake.
Charlie is the man.
Good grief, that is no garden snake! Charlie looks so proud (as does Seth)ha! :)
Good job, Seth! That is a big snake. I'm with you and Macy--there is no way I would have touched the snake. I love the picture of Charlie, though, so cute!
RE: Homemade Granola Bars: (Sorry I can't find a way to email you, so I'm commenting on a post assuming you'll get it!)
Yes, it does add a SLIGHT coconut flavor, it's not lot though so you could try it and see.
If nothing else you'll love it and eat the entire pan yourself, not that I've done that, I'm just sayin'...
I'm with Jill- that picture of Charlie is precious. That looks like a great hands-on science activity right there. Dr. Vincent would be proud.
He is just a brave little guy! That thing was huge!
:( that was a harmless Rat Snake...aka a Good Snake...
How does killing a beneficial snake have anything to do with science?
