Unpacking

The movers came and everything is here! We have been slowly unpacking, but got out last night and did a little furniture shopping. We went to one place in Frisco that is the the most concentrated area of shops in the US. There is definitely not a shortage of places to shop here, someone said that the mall here is the 2nd largest mall in the US (we haven't been there yet). Also, we went to IKEA. Seth had never been, and I have only been to one other IKEA and that was in Germany. It was fun to walk through looking at everything.

New House Pictures!

We signed the papers this afternoon and are no longer homeless! Here are some pictures I took.

First is when you first walk into the house. Formal living and dining on your left, straight ahead is the kitchen and family room and to the right is the office.

The office: (with the seller's Realtor)

The best part of the house, the Kitchen! For those who saw our old kitchen, this is a definite improvement! I am not a huge fan of the paint on the wall, so if anyone has suggestions for colors, I will gladly take them.

There is a nice bar where we can fit a few stools and an area for a breakfast table.
The family room:Macy's room: Charlie was napping, so I didn't take a picture of his, but it is basically the same.

Blogging in Bullet Format..

Here the happenings over the last few days:

  • Charlie is "walking" along the furniture.
  • Macy stepped on a $250 bird and in the process yanked out two of it's tail feathers, poor bird.-We were at a pet store in Decatur and the nice man working there got some of the animals out so Macy could see them and one bird he took out flew at her and got under her feet and startled her. She backed up, trying to get away and then she stepped on him. He squawked really loudly and then hid under some cages.
  • I have a cold and can hardly breathe.
  • Seth preached another good sermon this morning as usual.
  • Tomorrow at 11 is when we close, yeay!

We're homeless...

at least until Monday when we sign on the new house. The closing went well today and it is hard to believe we are not Oklahomans anymore, although I think I will always consider OK home. We are in Decatur now and will stay here until Tuesday. We can't wait to move in on Tuesday!

Moving Day

We are officially moved out of our house! The movers came yesterday and packed up everything then loaded up everything today. We are in Lawton right now, Seth is speaking at a dinner at my parents church right now. Tomorrow is back up to Edmond for closing and then we will head to Decatur and stay there until we close on the new house Monday.

First Sunday in Frisco

Seth preached his first Sunday at Shawnee Trail. He did a great job and we met a lot of nice people. Macy especially loved all the kids and had a great time running around with them afterwards.
We bought a house! Not the one previously mentioned, we decided that one was too high. So we went with this one:

All the neighborhoods are really nice in Frisco and they all seem family friendly, so we had a hard time deciding, but we chose this one. It has 4 bedrooms (really one is more of an office) and 2 bathrooms. The neighborhood has a pool, playgrounds and great walking trails. I think we are going to like it!

We have the inspection at the new house this Tuesday, so we are staying for that and then heading back to Edmond, the movers come on Wednesday and Thursday and then we close on Friday and then we come down here for good and close on the new house on the 28th.

Spaghettios and House Update

Here are a couple pictures of Charlie enjoying his spaghettios for lunch yesterday. He loves them! I am still finding little O's stuck on his chair.

We heard back from the seller's agent from the house we put a bid on. He didn't accept our low bid, but countered, so we countered back. Hopefully we will hear something soon. We really like the house and hope we can get it for a good deal. I will post when we hear something again.

House Hunting

We are in Decatur and have been house hunting in Frisco the past two days. We have a good realtor and have seen a lot of good houses. Frisco is currently a buyer's market, like many other places, so there are a lot of options! We put a bid (an extremely low bid) on a really nice house that was a little higher priced, but been on the market for awhile and will see if by some miracle the seller accepts it the next couple days. But we have another house that we will bid on if that one is not accepted that we like also. Seth and I agree it is much more fun to be on the buying side of Real Estate as opposed to the selling side. Seth's mom watched Macy and Charlie, so we are grateful we could take our time and not worry about them.

I shouldn't be blogging right now..

We are having our garage sale as I type, it has gone well this morning and we have already sold a bunch of stuff. We are doing it tomorrow too, so if anyone needs more junk, come on by!

We had our inspection yesterday, a few minor things (most of which were things that were here before we moved in), nothing major, we are just waiting to hear from the buyer.

Have a good Friday!
