Back From Branson

This past week were in Branson with my side of the family for a vacation. We had a great time! My parents rented a cabin and my brother Paul, his wife Kim, their kids- Addi, Levi, and Lila and my sister, Lori, her husband Luke and their son Andrew were all there. Macy and Charlie loved getting to play with their cousins and Macy especially had a great time spending time with Addi. We went to Silver Dollar City, Celebration City, the Dixie Stampede, the fish hatchery and dam, and rode The Ducks around Branson landing. I took a bunch of pictures (family-I will upload them to walmart probably tomorrow and send you the album if you want any to print), but here are just a few.

Here we are getting ready to go into Silver Dollar City:

I don't know why, but I don't have any pictures of Lori and Luke. We got a photographer to take a family picture of everyone (which by the way isn't easy getting 6 little kids to happily smile for the camera at the same time), so when we get those in a couple weeks, I will be sure and post them.

Thanks again Mom and Dad for a great vacation!

It's A..................

Girl!

We had the big ultrasound this afternoon and everything looks good! I thought we would be a little sad not having another boy, but we aren't and are incredibly grateful that she is healthy and that everything looked good! A thought crossed my mind right before the ultrasound thinking what in the world we would do if the baby showed something wrong, but the technician said everything measured great! So it is a big relief and now I can just enjoy the rest of the pregnancy.

It was the best ultrasound we have had, we got to watch it on a big screen and even saw the baby in 3D! We saw her moving around, even yawning and sticking out her tongue and sucking on her thumb! It was all pretty neat. Here is a short video of her put her thumb in her mouth:

When we got home we told Macy (and Charlie, but he didn't care) that they were having a sister and Macy jumped up and down with excitement, although she probably would of done that if I told her I had a hamburger in my tummy. Anyways, I am glad she is happy. She also enjoyed the pictures of her new sister.

I have to go back in a month for a repeat ultrasound, the doctor doesn't like that I am still -1 lb my pre-pregnancy weight (trust me, I had PLENTY of extra lbs to spare), so I have to protein load and he wants to make sure the baby is getting bigger. He said I would have to take protein supplements if I don't eat a ton of protein, and I definitely don't want those to pack the pounds on me, so now I have another excuse to eat all the protein I want and not feel bad about it.

We all went to Outback to celebrate the good news (and for me to get protein)! Please continue to keep us in your prayers!

Oh, and all name questions can be directed to Seth , I forfeited my rights when he let me name Charlie. So Seth gets to name her (unless it is something really weird).

Charlie's First Haircut

Today was a traumatic day for Charlie, we made him get his first haircut. He HATED it and screamed the whole time. He needed to be cleaned up and especially needed the rattail cut off. I don't have a before and after shot, but here are a few I did get.

Macy on the other hand LOVES to get her haircut and would be happy if we did that every day. (I told the lady to cut her bangs right above the eyes, not 2 inches!!! So Macy is going to have super short bangs for awhile)

Rangers Game

Thanks to Jeremy Kenney, we got a bunch of free Rangers tickets that came with free hats. So several families from church joined us at the game for a fun afternoon. We dined on fine cuisine; popcorn, hot dogs, peanuts and chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches. We only allow our kids to eat the finest, most healthy foods.

Home Alone

Seth has gone up to Edmond to speak at Memorial Rd., so the kids and I are on our own tonight. I really wanted to go, but we decided it would be easier and cheaper if he went by himself.
I don't really have anything else to blog about, but here are a few random pictures from the last few days.

Praise in the Park

This morning for church we had Praise in the Park, where we have church outside followed by a cookout. I was in charge of taking pictures for it, so I had my camera and there was a nice meadow where we were, so I took a couple pictures of the kids. I couldn't get one of both of them together.
